My kids are benefiting from Prof. Geary’s knowledge and experience in the art of Kenpo. We look forward to watching our kids grow as they progress in their training.

Prof. Geary opened his doors to a very hungry and interested sector of the public that was anxious to learn the formalized discipline of the martial arts and its accompanying philosophy over 20 years ago. These forms are offered in a regulated and ordered array of levels that are achievable only through physical training, mental acuity and the learning of a philosophy that goes hand in hand with a strident moral code that is designed to make better people of all who undertake this course of study.
Prof. Geary is himself a 10th Degree Black Belt and holds a Bachelor of Martial Arts and the exalted title of Grand Master. He is a former US Marine who served his country well, and a longtime member of this community, having graduated from Omaha Central High School. It was after service that he sought a way to give back to his community by sharing his knowledge and skill with the offering of formal lessons.
He is liked by his students, many of them having been with him for years and have gone on to distinguish themselves in different aspects of this field of training and skill. He is highly regarded in the community at large and well liked by parents, schools and family organizations. He seeks to instill in each individual in comes across a sense of pride, self worth, and respect in themselves, and most importantly, their fellows. I highly recommend that this is the school that should be first choice if looking for a school for the family to do so as a whole, or if there is someone who truly is a seeker of enlightenment and knowledge of the way.

My husband and I enrolled our 3 kids into Geary's Kempo Karate. It’s an easy quick location to get to the school on 76th & Cass Street and we live in Council Bluffs, IA. My kids are beginning a new fun and active art. They have loved learning new things and interacting with other kids. Also their listening skills and self control have improved! As mother it’s been making life little easier! It's been a great experience since they started!

I give my highest respect to Geary's Kempo Karate and to the instructor Christopher Geary. Christopher Geary is an excellent teacher who brings high quality Karate instruction to his students while teaching respect and great character.
I know I will benefit from the discipline that he teaches and that I learn from him and that he expects from each of his students.
I highly recommend Geary's Kempo Karate.

I am a 25 year old female who was scared. I was personally robbed at a business near Professor Geary's previous school. He came in a couple days after the situation and was nice enough to talk to me about it and help me with some gun techniques. For free! He was so good and highly recommended so I enrolled in his class and feel safer than ever.

Prof. Geary's school is not like your typical martial arts school around, and you have to honest with yourself when you sign up. This is a school to learn self-defense for REAL WORLD SITUATIONS. It's not a come and goof around kind of a place. You won't wiz through the ranks and get a black belt in a year to put on your trophy case. But when someone comes to mug you on the streets, do you think they'll care about you doing karate and having a black belt? Not in the slightest. This school is for learning to protect yourself. If there is any downside to Prof. Geary's system is the pace. Most people can't handle going slower and perfecting a technique. But that is also one of the pros too. Prof. Geary cares about his students, and wants them to learn the technique the right way, and then to be able to execute it with lighting speed. So if a situation in real life happens, you will be prepared. This school isn't for everyone. You have to be willing to put in the time and dedication. If you can do that, you can handle whatever life may have in store for you. So, before you sign up for any school, sit down and think about what it is you really want. If you want some colorful belts to show off to your friends, you should look elsewhere. If you want to learn to protect yourself, this is it.

Many years ago my son was a student of Christopher Geary. During his time as a student of Geary's Kempo Karate, he learned skills like discipline and self confidence. But the most important thing he took from the experience was a life-long love of all things fitness related. We're very proud of the man he has become!

People looking to help their kids deal with growing up in today's complicated society should highly consider classes with Professor Geary. Classes are great, but what's more important is your learning from a highly credentialed individual. After 42 years in the martial arts, I have seen real differences in instructors! So when I checked Professor Geary's linage, it was actually pretty amazing to be lucky to have him right here in Omaha.

Professor Geary,
Time in class, your skills, and the quality of your teaching have all shown me that choosing your school was the right choice. You have the certificates to show your rank and title, but unlike many others you prove your true mastery in class. It is amazing to watch you when teaching us. All of your moves are so fluid and natural whether you are showing us at slow speed to learn, and when you demonstrate again at full speed. It is an honor and a privilege to train under such a proficient master of the martial arts.

Professor Geary - thanks for the lesson. You really made it easy and comfortable for me as an extreme novice to understand the moves. I can't wait to get started learning more of the techniques and how I can feel like I have better control and more confidence! I’ve been practicing while doing my other aerobic activities and just that little bit of time has helped me get more out of doing my kick boxing dvd’s! I may actually find I have more coordination than I ever thought!
Thanks again!

Professor Geary,
Thank you for the kind words and looking at my Long Form 6. That was me ten years ago in competition. Your accomplishments are very impressive. If I accomplish a third of what you have within my lifetime, I will consider myself to be very successful.
It's an honor to make your acquaintance, Sir.
Full Salute,

Professor Geary,
I just wanted to send a few words to express my gratitude for being a part of Christopher N. Geary’s Shaolin Kempo Karate. Though I have only been a member for 6 months, I have seen drastic changes in stamina, control, and balance, as well an improved confidence in my abilities to defend myself – if necessary.
I respect the fact that even the smallest details are considered in the development of your program - from the quality and look of the dojo to the system itself – something that increases the overall quality of the school. This combined with excellent instructors and dedicated students make the journey through Kempo both challenging and rewarding.

Professor Geary,
I am excited about starting this chapter in my life. I have studied other Martial Arts for 7 years. Do to age and a knee that couldn't take the spinning jumping and acrobats in Tae kwon Do anymore, I had begun the search for a martial art that is consistent, technics that can be used each time, and more realistic in an actual self-defense need. I found you willing to discuss all facets of Geary's Kempo Karate and about yourself. I look forward to taking this next part of lifes journey.

Professor Geary,
Thank you for spending the time to answer my questions and explaining everything to me. I'm excited that I signed up. I will be bringing my daughter by in a couple of weeks. I think it would be good for her. The training dvd I bought from you last week will be a big help. I have watched part of it and so far so good. You did a great job with explaining everything as well as showing how to carry out the different moves. Now I can go over what we learn in class at home. I'm glad I got it. I look forward to tonight's class.
Thanks again for everything.

Just so you know, we really appreciate everything you have done for our son. He has matured so much with you. And we see the difference at home and out in public. He has become such a confidant young man.
