When searching for a martial arts school for you or your family, please do your research before enrolling in classes, the State of Nebraska does not require a person(s) to have any credentials or certifications before owning/operating a karate/martial arts school in Omaha. It is highly recommended that the customer view the instructor’s martial art lineage and credentials before becoming a student of any martial arts school in Omaha. Prof. Geary has been in business since June 29, 1994 and is the only certified 10th Degree Black Belt (the highest level of Black Belt and Grand Master) Karate/Martial Arts Instructor in Omaha, Nebraska.
Prices for classes at many martial arts schools in Omaha can be very misleading. Shortly after joining, there may be extra fees or hidden costs that the customer may feel pressured to pay for or add on to their membership. It is easy to add to a membership, but not easy to cancel one. Please read your membership thoroughly and ask questions if there are any concerns.

In many cases, Omaha martial arts schools in higher rent areas are charging more only to pay their higher overhead costs and offer a convenience to you because of their location, not necessarily for better instruction. Just like many one-time self-defense classes, these schools teach the students very generic techniques only providing the student with a false sense of security. So you should ask yourself before becoming a student or signing up your children, are you looking for practical quality martial arts instruction or just a convenient location? It is also recommended that you visit the Omaha Better Business Bureau’s (BBB) website when looking for a karate school or any type of business providing services. While a good organization, it costs over $500.00 per year to be an accredited (BBB) member. For most small businesses, the costs outweigh the benefits and in order to keep prices down for students, the school is no longer a member.

Membership
Geary's Kempo Karate offers one-hour group classes for $10.00 per hour. Or private classes 24/7 for $20.00 per half hour. No annual contract or membership is required. Kempo Karate uniforms (gi) and all martial arts supplies are available for purchase.
Class Times
Child Class: Monday and Wednesday 6:30 to 7:30 PM.
Adult Class: Monday and Wednesday 7:30 to 8:30 PM.
A portion of your payments is donated to two charities:
Fisher House Foundation: Building comfort homes where military & veteran families can stay free of charge, while a loved one is in the hospital. These homes are located at military and VA medical centers.
Friends of Animals: A non-profit international animal advocacy organization, established in New York City in 1957, working to free animals around the world from cruelty and institutionalized exploitation.
